One of the best books of my life! Highly recommend

I finished this book a few weeks ago, but I was unable to organize my thoughts to explain how good this book is. And even now, I feel that there is nothing I can say that does justice to this beautiful work of science. All I can say is: read it, you will not regret it.
This book is one of the best discoveries of my life. It is a book that I will certainly return to. It is not for everyone. If you like science, it is for you. Physics, chemistry, geology, astrology, paleontology, archeology, biology and all the ramifications of these scientific areas.

It tackles subjects like the origin of the universe, the solar system, the size of the earth, the age of the earth, the natural elements that constitute what we are and allow our existence, matter, chemical elements and the periodic table, atoms, astrology, the earth movement, the different dangers on earth, the center of the earth, the loneliness of our planet, the origin of life, extinction, the war of fossils, cells, DNA, the origin and evolution, the names of science, etc.
The reading is very accessible, fast and simple, and if you like science, if you are curious about the world that surrounds you, about the origin of things, about life, I think you will love this book.

Some parts are very entertaining, and other parts show some dark realities of science such as the elitism / racism / sexism of science that for centuries was accessible only to white men; the ego in science; the religion that was an obstacle to many scientific advances.

A true scientist is one who is willing to question his preconceptions.

Something we are constantly reminded of during this reading is how little we know. How little we know about us, about the world around us, about the universe, about the animals with which we share this planet. It is frustrating to know that I will never know enough. All I would like to do is create a time machine and go to the beginning, you know, and watch it all happen, because no matter how much I learn, it will never be enough. Science is frustrating but it also is fascinating.
